OPTO-CALC 2.0
Opto-Calc 2.0 is a calculation software for contact lens specialists. It consists of 10 modules.
It is translated into 5 languages: French, English, German, Spanish and Italian.
Getting Started:
Settings
Go to Setting to select the language. Choose the unit of measurement of the corneal base curve (mm or diopters) as well as the unit of measurement of the flattening of the cornea (Eccentricity, Q value or Shape factor p.)
Over-refraction: calculation of the resulting power following an over-refraction on a spectacle lens.
Vertex distance: Calculation of power based on the change in distance between the cornea and the back side of the eyeglass lens or relative to a contact lens (0mm).
Toric Soft: Calculation of the value of a toric soft lens after over-refraction. Negative or positive cylinders. The result is given in negative cylinder. All angles correspond to the TABO diagram. Choice between horizontal (0°-180°) or lower (270°) marking
Rotation: calculation of the residual cylinder and its axis based on the rotation of a cylinder (contact lens or spectacle lens).
Spherical Rigid: Calculation of the power of a spherical RGP contact lens based on over-refraction and center radius.
Rigid Toric: Calculation of the parameters of a rigid toric contact lens taking into account the back toric trial lens, over-refraction, changes in the base curve and the refractive index of the material.
RGP Bitoric : calculation of the parameters of a toric rigid lens taking into account the bitoric trial lens, over-refraction, changes in the central radii and the refractive index of the material.
The details buttons display the results.
RGP bitoricX: calculation of the parameters of a rigid toric lens taking into account an unknown lens worn by the patient. From the measurement of the base curves of the lens and the power measured with the focimeter, the over-refraction, the modifications of the central radii and the refractive index of the material.
Test lens: proposal of a RGP trial lens according to refraction, central radii of the cornea (mm or diopters) and average flattening (eccentricity, Q or shape p). The preferences for these different units are chosen in the settings. Choice between a spherical or toric lens proposal.
Converter: for converting eccentricities, Q value and p shape.
